And Sn0wbreeze can be used to tethered jailbreak iOS 5.1 and for non-A5 device only like Redsn0w 0.9.10b6. With Sn0wbreeze you can make custom firmware for your iPhone which if restored you will see Cydia in it, means your iPhone is jailbroken.

Step 4. Select Simple Mode from the option list, and Sn0wBreeze will then create a custom firmware file . And it will put it on your desktop when finished.

Step 5. Click OK after firmware is created, then place your iPhone into DFU mode and then click start. This will place your iPhone into PwnedDFU mode.

Step 6. Now close Sn0wbreeze, then launch iTunes, continued with holding the Shift key from your keyboard and then click restore. Now choose the custom Sn0wbreeze firmware from desktop, iTunes will then restore your device.

Step 7. After restore completed, setup your iPhone, Cydia icon will appear now on Home Screen. Now place your device into DFU mode agan.

Step 8. Execute iBooty on desktop that Sn0wbreeze created. And then choose your device type from the drop down menu in the bottom right-hand corner, and click start. You can now do a tethered boot to use your device. Each time your device is rebooted, you are required to put your device into DFU mode and do a tethered boot using iBooty again.

Step 9. Once your device is back at your Home screen, you can setup Cydia and start using your newly jailbroken device.
