Guide To Jailbreak Apple TV 2G 5.0 (iOS 5.1) Tethered With Seas0nPass 0.8.

Jailbreak Apple TV 2G 5.0 (iOS 5.1) Tethered With Seas0nPass. FireCore dev team has brought to us an update version of their AppleTV 2G jailbreak, it's Seas0nPass 0.8.3 for Mac and Windows.

The version brings a tethered jailbreak to Appple TV 2 5.0 (iOS 5.1). And there are several plugins are working and the rest not working with this release. And currently Seas0nPass 0.8.3 tethered Jb is unable to jailbreak the Apple TV 3 yet.

And in this post I would like to share the step by step guide to jailbreak Apple Tv 2G on 5.0 (iOS 5.1) with Seas0nPass 0.8.3. And follow the following guide.

Things you need before jailbreaking:
Now let's jailbreak your Apple TV 2G With SeasonPass 0.8.3.

Step 1: Launch Seas0nPass by clicking its icon  -- after you've download it and unzip it.

Step 2: Click on CREATE IPSW from the screen.

Step 3: AppleTv software is downloaded now by Seas0nPass to be used in creating a custom Jailbreak software file.

Step 4: After Seas0nPass finished creating a custom iPSW file, you are prompted to connect your device to your computer and put it into DFU mode by following the on screen instructions.

Step 5: After your device in DFU mode, SeasonPass will open iTunes to start restoring.

When iTunes finished restoring, you will now have a jailbroken AppleTV 2g. So it's time to tethered boot it.

How to tethered boot Apple TV with Seas0nPass.

Step 1: To tethered boot your Apple Tv, connect your device to computer now. And then launch Seas0nPass, click on Boot Tethered option this time.

Step 2: Now connect the Apple TV to your Windows PC or Mac when prompted. And then wait for the rapid flashing light then connect the power. After the are connected, now press the Menu and PLay/Pause buttons for about seven seconds.

Step 3: The tethered boot will be started automatically now by Seas0nPass, once it finishes, disconnect your USB cable and followed by connecting the HDMI cable.
