How To Root LG MyTouch On Android 2.3 GingerBread

Do you hold a shinny LG myTouch on your hand? Well that's a good Android handset, no doubt about especially its 1 GHz scorpion processor. But then without being rooted, it won't give you its best performance, at least IMO. Therefore, if you are on the same track as I am, here is a quick guide to root the LG myTouch running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).

The process of rooting your LG myTouch won't take a whole day long, instead you won't realize that it's finished before you swallow the bread you are chewing now. Haha, now it's not that fast, however it's a simple process and fast. So, let's get going.
LG MyTouch

Root Android 2.3 based LG myTouch

Requirements:
Instructions:
  • Firstly enable your USB debugging, here is the trip Settings > Applications > Development.
  • Plug in your Lg myTouch to your computer and then run the terminal or the command prompt.
  • Enter the commands (remember click enter after every line to make a new line)

    adb shell

    echo 1 > /data/local/lge_adb.conf

    exit
  • Execute the SuperOneClick you've downloaded in the first step, and followed by clicking the Root button in order to start the rooting process.
Now you can continue chewing your bread:)...I mean just wait for the rooting process til it's finished. And when it's, your reboot will do the automatic reboot likely, after it rebooted. You can continue to download the Root Checker, get this one from Android market, it's necessary for verifying your root access.
