Your Galaxy Tab can get the Android 4.0.1 (Ice Cream Sandwich), yes like the Motorolla XOOM get Android 4.0.3. However this is an unofficial porting and the rom is till in Alpha Build stage. And today we are going to install the Android 4.0.1 to Galaxy Tab. Follow the guides below at your own risk, whatever happens (of course not if you do exactly as it's written) after following the tutorials below, leave my name and this blog out from your mind to blame. Since, you have been forewarned.

Firstly I would like to thank the XDA dev member, namely ani55 for making this unofficial Ice Cream Sandiwich 4.0.1 available to which we can use it to port to the Galaxy Tab.

Things you need to know before proceeding:

Firstly your Galaxy tab has already been rooted and of course ClockworkMord Recovery is already installed to backup your nandroid backup to make you able to revert back to your current stable Android version, this move is useful if after the installation you don't like what you get, again I remind you that it's an Alpha build ROM. And running the Android 2.x Gingerbread-based bootloader and EXT4 file format.

Camera and Bluetooth don't work, this is because the major changes in ICS. It is going to take flashing process, therefore make sure your battery is in full condition.

1: Download the build Android 4.0.1 for the Galaxy Tab, here is the links.
