Google Will Launch Siri Contender, Majel

Google is reported to be working on Siri contender application for Android device, they name their upcoming voice assistant with codename Majel, it is the name of the Star Trek voice actress for the film's computer, Majel Barret-Roddenbery. If the report is true, then we finally see the Siri real competitor on the voice recognition business.
However there is no an official confirmation yet from Google, but a site named Android and Me said that Majel is a project that brings an evolution for the company Google's voice Action functionality that already existed into Android, and bundled with Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich', that will recognize your natural language -- as Siri does -- rather than formal commands like "navigate to.." or such.

Speaking of confirmation, a clue was given once by the Google's Matias Duarte when he was interviewed by SlashGear. Duarte said that. "Our approach is more like Star Trek, right, starship Enterprise; every piece of computing surface, everything is voice-aware. It’s not that there’s a personality, it doesn’t have a name, it’s just Computer."

I hope Majel is not just another Siri competitor that failed to bring something unique like Tellme.

Here is Majel in the old Star Trek Movie:

What do you think guys?
