Android 2.3 Gingerbread SDK Released By Google


We have been presented with Google Nexus S which has made us amazed altogether, thus it would be incomplete without the phone's Operating System release news as well. Therefore Google hands to us the Android 2.3 Gingerbread SDK with a lot of additional and demanded features that offer many of its predecessors didn't offer.

But this SDK release for app developers only, in regard to make their apps compatible with the Gingerbread, before the Mobile OS is finally release to public consumption.

The Gingerbread is advertised to be the Android fastest version and it's armed with:

  • interface refinements,
  • NFC support,
  • a new keyboard and text selection tool,
  • Internet (VoIP/SIP) calling,
  • improved copy/paste functionality and gyroscope sensor support
